Kevin Dixon
Project Director
Kevin came to work for NASP® in February 2011. Prior to his position as NASP® Project Manager Kevin was the Shooting Sports Coordinator for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife. He attended NASP® Basic Archery Instructor training in 2003 in Paducah Kentucky and was assigned by then supervisor Dave Wilson to coordinate NASP® in Ohio. Ohio became an official NASP® state In April 2004 with the first Ohio Division of Wildlife NASP® training which was held in Ashley, Ohio.

Kevin was born in Youngstown Ohio and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1983. After High School Kevin enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Security Specialist and served from 1983 to 1987. After the Air Force Kevin returned to Ohio and worked as an electronic technician with Westec (Vector) Security Systems. In 1991 he applied for a position with the Ohio Department of Corrections and was hired as a Corrections Officer in 1992. During his career with the Department of Corrections Kevin moved on to the position of Sergeant and later Training Officer. He was working as a Training Officer when he applied for and was offered the position of Shooting Sports Coordinator with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife.
Kevin has been involved in shooting, hunting and fishing his entire life. Spending time with his Father, Uncles and friends in the outdoors are among his best childhood memories. Although he enjoyed archery for years prior, his first archery season was in 1979. Bowhunting and archery remain among his favorite activities today, next to spending time with family and friends.
Kevin and his wife Katie have been married 23 years. They have two adult sons, Cody and Jacob.
